Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has issued a notification regarding the Second Phase Allotment to MBBS/BDS courses for the 2026–27 academic year. The facility is applicable to State Quota seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges and available seats in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges, including the specified NRI quota option-registration facility.
Candidates who want their higher-order options to be considered in the second phase must confirm their options online through the CEE Kerala website. The official CEE portal is currently carrying the 2026 MBBS/BDS counselling updates, including the first-phase allotment and NRI category notifications.

Online Option Confirmation is Mandatory
CEE Kerala has clarified that online option confirmation is mandatory for candidates who want their higher-order MBBS/BDS options to be considered in the second-phase allotment.
Candidates must log in to their Home Page and confirm their options by clicking the “Confirm” button available there.
After confirmation, candidates can re-arrange their higher-order options or delete unwanted options/courses/colleges, wherever applicable, up to 11 September 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Candidates who fail to confirm their options after the first-phase allotment will not be considered for the second-phase allotment.
However, candidates who do not confirm their options but were allotted a seat in the first phase will retain their existing admission, according to the notification. Candidates who had been allotted a seat in the first phase but did not take admission will not be considered for further centralised allotments.
NRI Quota Option Registration
CEE Kerala has also provided an Option Registration facility for NRI Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges.
Candidates who wish to seek admission under the NRI quota can register their options for eligible colleges through the CEE Kerala website within the specified time.
Only candidates included in the NRI Category List published by CEE will be considered for allotment to NRI quota seats.
The notification further states that non-Keralite II NRI category candidates will be considered for NRI quota allotment only in the absence of eligible candidates belonging to the Kerala and Non-Keralite I categories.
Candidates Receiving Second Phase Allotment
Candidates who receive an allotment in the second phase must take a printout of their allotment memo and remit the applicable fee/balance fee, wherever required.
They must then join the allotted course and college within the prescribed joining period.
Candidates are advised to confirm their options only for courses and colleges where they are genuinely willing to join and continue their studies if allotted.
Fee Payment and Admission
Candidates allotted seats in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges must pay the fee or balance fee mentioned in their allotment memo to the concerned college and complete admission.
Candidates allotted seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges are required to remit the applicable fee to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
The notification also specifies fee concessions for certain categories, including SC/ST/OEC/Fishermen category candidates and eligible communities, subject to the applicable government orders and conditions.
However, candidates allotted seats under Minority/NRI quota in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges will have to pay the prescribed fee and will not be eligible for the specified fee concession.
