Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued the revised NEET UG 2026 Round 2 schedule, covering the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities and State Counselling. At the same time, the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat, has opened the Round 2 registration process for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic year 2026-27.
The revised MCC schedule states that the Round 2 counselling process for AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities will run from September 3 to September 11, 2026, while the corresponding State Counselling window is scheduled from September 7 to September 11, 2026. The last date for joining under both counselling streams is September 18, 2026.

The MCC schedule also directs participating institutions and colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays as working days to ensure compliance with the tight counselling timeline.
AIQ Round 2 Registration and Choice Filling
For AIQ, Deemed and Central University seats, registration and payment will be available from September 3 to September 8, 2026, with registration closing at 3 PM on September 8 and the payment facility available up to 6 PM.
Choice filling will be available from September 3 to September 9, with choice filling closing at 10 AM on September 9. Choice locking will begin at 4 PM on September 8 and remain available until 10 AM on September 9.
Seat allotment processing will take place on September 9 and 10, followed by the Round 2 result on September 11, 2026. Candidates allotted seats can report and join from September 12 to September 18.
Gujarat NEET UG Round 2 Registration Begins
Following the MCC schedule, ACPUGMEC has started the second-round registration process for Gujarat MBBS and BDS admissions. The Gujarat admission authority conducts the admission process for undergraduate medical and dental seats in the state through online merit-based counselling.

Candidates are required to purchase the online PIN before completing registration. The total PIN amount is ₹11,000, consisting of a ₹1,000 non-refundable registration fee and ₹10,000 refundable security deposit, as specified in the Round 2 advertisement.
Original Documents Mandatory for Round 2 Verification
ACPUGMEC has issued an important instruction for candidates participating from the second round onwards. Document verification at the Help Centre will be conducted only against original documents.
Candidates must carry:
- Original educational and other required certificates
- One set of self-attested photocopies
- Required category certificates, wherever applicable
DigiLocker documents and colour photocopies/printouts will not be accepted for verification. Candidates who fail to produce the original documents will not be permitted to proceed with document verification.
Help Centre Working Hours
Candidates should plan their visit according to the prescribed working hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Sunday/Public Holidays: Closed
Academic Session to Begin From September 15
The revised MCC schedule specifies September 15, 2026, as the commencement date of the academic session for UG courses. The Gujarat admission authority has also displayed the same academic-session commencement date on its official UG admission portal.
Therefore, candidates participating in Round 2 counselling should carefully follow the registration, choice filling, allotment and joining deadlines to avoid missing admission opportunities.

Candidates participating in Gujarat Round 2 should:
- Complete PIN purchase within the prescribed deadline.
- Submit the online registration form before 4 PM on September 4.
- Schedule and complete document verification at the designated Help Centre.
- Carry original documents and self-attested photocopies.
- Carefully follow the MCC and ACPUGMEC counselling schedules.
- Regularly check the official counselling portals for changes or additional notices.
