Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, has released the list of eligible candidates and their seat allocations after the re-counselling process for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic session 2026-27.
The re-counselling was conducted on September 16, 2026, and the notification was issued on September 17, 2026. The process covers MBBS seats under the Central Pool and Shillong Medical College, as well as BDS seats under the State Quota.
Meghalaya MBBS/BDS Re-Counselling 2026 Result Released
The newly published list contains candidates who were allotted seats after the re-counselling process. The allocation has been provided institution-wise and category-wise for eligible candidates.
For MBBS, the allotment list covers the following categories:
- Unreserved Category
- Khasi & Jaintia Category
- Garo Category
- SC/OST Category
For BDS, the list includes:
- Unreserved Category
- Khasi & Jaintia Category
A waiting list has also been prepared for candidates who were not allotted seats in the re-counselling process.
Colleges Included in the MBBS Allotment
The re-counselling allocation includes seats in several medical institutions in Meghalaya and other states.
Some of the institutions appearing in the allotment include:
- NEIGRIHMS, Shillong
- Shillong Medical College
- Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal
- VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi
- Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi
- Guwahati Medical College
- Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh
- Patna Medical College
- Medical colleges in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand
For BDS, allotments include institutions such as Regional Dental College, Guwahati and Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College, Kolkata.
Meghalaya NEET UG Re-Counselling 2026: Reporting Date
Candidates who have been allotted seats through the re-counselling process are required to report for the next admission formalities.

Candidates Must Report in Person
Selected candidates are required to appear in person at the designated venue for acceptance of the allotted course and execution of the Bond-cum-Agreement.
Candidates have been instructed to attend along with one guardian only. They must also carry four passport-size photographs for the admission-related formalities.
Important Warning for Selected Candidates
The counselling authority has specified that candidates who fail to report on the prescribed date will automatically lose their right to nomination.
In such cases, the next eligible candidate from the waiting list may be nominated for the available seat.
Therefore, candidates who have received an allotment should carefully follow the reporting instructions and appear at the designated venue within the specified time.
Meghalaya NEET UG 2026 Re-Counselling: What Candidates Should Do?
Candidates who have been allotted seats should:
- Check their name and allotment details in the re-counselling list.
- Confirm the allotted course and institution.
- Report to the DME office at Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
- Reach the venue on September 21, 2026, from 11:30 AM onwards.
- Attend in person along with one guardian.
- Carry four passport-size photographs and the required admission documents.
- Complete the acceptance and Bond-cum-Agreement formalities.
