Important Instructions for Round 2
Candidates who did not receive any seat in Round 1 must register for Round 2.
Candidates who joined their Round 1 seat and selected the option for upgradation during the admission process do not need to register again. Their seats will be treated as Virtual Vacancies for Round 2.
However, candidates who joined their Round 1 seat and selected “NO” for upgradation, but subsequently wish to participate in Round 2, must log in during the registration window and confirm their participation. If they do not do so, their seats will not be considered for upgradation.
Candidates who are satisfied with their Round 1 seat and do not want a change do not need to participate in Round 2.
Candidates who had opted for upgradation in the College Portal but now wish to retain their existing seat should not participate in choice filling, as their seat will otherwise be retained for the re-allotment process.
Fresh Choice Filling is Mandatory
Round 2 choice filling will be conducted after registration. Candidates seeking upgradation, candidates who were not allotted a seat, and candidates who did not join their allotted seat are required to fill fresh choices.
Candidates are advised to select only those colleges and courses in which they genuinely wish to take admission.
Once choices are locked during online counselling, they cannot be changed later.
The notice also states that choice locking will be enabled only after 12 September 2026 at 10:00 AM, as All India Quota results are likely to be declared on 11 September.
If a candidate does not lock the choices by the last date, 13 September 2026 at 2:00 PM, the choices will be automatically locked.
Virtual Vacancies in Round 2
Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and opted for upgradation will have their seats shown as Virtual Vacancies during Round 2.
However, such a seat will be allotted to another candidate in Round 2 only if the candidate holding that seat is actually upgraded. Therefore, candidates should consider both the available seat position and virtual vacancies while filling their choices.
Round 2 Upgradation Rule
If a candidate is upgraded and allotted a new seat in Round 2, the candidate must relinquish the Round 1 seat and join the newly allotted Round 2 seat.
The notice clearly states that an upgraded candidate will have no claim over the Round 1 seat after receiving the Round 2 allotment.
Downloading Allotment Order and Reporting
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must download their provisional allotment order from the official counselling portal.
The allotment order must be downloaded within the specified period, and candidates must join the allotted medical college or institution on or before the prescribed deadline.
Document Verification
Certificate verification will be conducted at the selected/allotted colleges.
Candidates must produce their original certificates at the time of joining, along with the required photocopies for verification.
Failure to report to the Head of the Institution within the specified date and time may result in cancellation of the candidate’s selection and/or admission without further notice.
