Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh has announced the postponement of the Round 1 seat allotment for Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2026. The decision has been taken in view of the revised schedule issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the first round of All India Quota counselling.
According to the notification dated August 20, 2026, the Round 1 allotment for MBBS and BDS courses under the Chhattisgarh State Quota has been kept on hold. The state counselling authority stated that the allotment list will be issued after the completion of the first-round All India Quota seat allotment.
Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Update
Chhattisgarh counselling authority had earlier scheduled the Round 1 seat allotment process as part of the state counselling. However, following the revised MCC schedule, the publication of the state Round 1 allotment list has now been postponed.
The authority has clarified that once the first-round All India Quota allotment list is published, the Round 1 allotment list for Chhattisgarh State Quota counselling will subsequently be released.
Candidates are therefore advised not to consider the earlier state allotment date as final and to wait for the revised schedule or further official notification.
MCC Revised NEET UG 2026 Schedule
The revised MCC schedule indicates that the first round of All India Quota/Deemed/Central State Quota counselling is being conducted from August 4 to August 21, 2026. The last date for joining the allotted institution under Round 1 for the applicable AIQ/Deemed/Central University process is August 31, 2026.
