BCECEB Issues Notice for Refund of Security Deposit for 2024 & 2025 Candidates

Who Is Eligible for the Refund Process?

According to the notice, candidates who had deposited a Security Deposit through online counselling for UGMAC-2024 or UGMAC-2025 and subsequently either:

  • took admission after seat allotment, or
  • did not receive a seat allotment,

were generally eligible for refund of the security deposit as per the applicable counselling rules.

BCECEB states that the security deposit was to be refunded online to the same account and through the same transaction mode used for the original payment. However, due to technical or unavoidable reasons, the refund could not be processed for some candidates.

The board has therefore issued the latest notice to facilitate the refund of the pending amounts.

Candidates Listed in Annexures Must Submit Details

BCECEB has published the details of the affected candidates in:

  • UGMAC-2024 Annexure-A
  • UGMAC-2025 Annexure-B

Candidates whose names/details appear in these lists are required to provide the necessary information to the BCECEB helpdesk so that the pending security deposit refund can be processed.

Documents Required for Security Deposit Refund

The notice asks the concerned candidates to submit their bank account details along with supporting documents.

Candidates may be required to provide:

  • Bank account details
  • Cancelled cheque or passbook copy
  • Relevant application form
  • Transaction details of the original security deposit
  • Scanned copy of the required documents

The bank account details should correspond with the account through which the refund is to be processed.

Candidates included in the applicable refund lists have been instructed to send the required documents/details to the BCECEB’s official helpdesk email:

The notice specifically cautions candidates that requests sent from or submitted through any other email ID will not be accepted.

Therefore, candidates should carefully follow the instructions given in the BCECEB notice while submitting their refund-related documents.

The concerned candidates should complete the required refund-related process by September 22, 2026, as specified in the notice.

Candidates who are eligible for the pending refund should avoid waiting until the last date and submit their documents and bank details well in advance.

BCECEB Previously Issued Refund Notices for UGMAC

This is not the first time BCECEB has issued a notice concerning pending UGMAC security deposit refunds. The board had previously issued refund-related notices for UGMAC-2024, including instructions for candidates whose refunds could not be processed due to technical or other reasons.

The latest September 2026 notice specifically addresses pending refund cases associated with UGMAC-2024 and UGMAC-2025. The notice is now displayed on the official UGMAC notice board.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates who participated in UGMAC-2024 or UGMAC-2025 should:

  1. Check the UGMAC-2024 Annexure-A or UGMAC-2025 Annexure-B.
  2. Confirm whether their details are included in the refund list.
  3. Keep their correct bank account details ready.
  4. Arrange a cancelled cheque or passbook copy as required.
  5. Keep the relevant security deposit transaction details ready.
  6. Send the required documents to helpdesk.bceceboard@bihar.gov.in.
  7. Complete the process on or before September 22, 2026.
