Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada has released the notification for exercising web options for Phase 2 of MBBS counselling under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27.
According to the notification dated September 15, 2026, eligible candidates can exercise their web options from 10:00 AM on September 16, 2026, to 10:00 AM on September 18, 2026. The Phase 2 allotment results are scheduled to be released on September 21, 2026.
The Phase 2 counselling covers available MBBS seats in government, private unaided non-minority and minority medical colleges under Dr. NTRUHS, as well as MBBS seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (under SVIMS), Tirupati, as specified in the notification.

The web-options window will remain open for two days, and candidates are advised to complete the process well before the deadline.
Who Can Exercise Web Options?
NTRUHS has specified different provisions depending on a candidate’s status after Phase 1 counselling.
Candidates Who Joined a Phase 1 Seat
Candidates who were allotted a seat in Phase 1 and joined the allotted college can exercise web options for sliding/upgradation to a better-preference college.
The university has advised such candidates to exercise options for all colleges they are genuinely interested in, irrespective of the current vacancy position. The college where the candidate is currently reported will remain the last option by default, shown in green colour.
Candidates Who Were Allotted but Did Not Report
Candidates who were allotted a Phase 1 seat but did not report at the allotted college are also eligible to exercise web options for all colleges in Phase 2, except the college where they did not join.
Candidates Not Allotted a Seat
Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Phase 1, as well as candidates who did not exercise web options during Phase 1, are eligible to participate in Phase 2 web-option entry.
There is no limit on the number of web options that eligible candidates can enter. NTRUHS has advised candidates to list colleges in their preferred order based on priority and eligibility.
Candidates Who Avail Free Exit Cannot Participate
Candidates who availed the Free Exit facility after Phase 1 counselling are not eligible to exercise web options in Phase 2 or subsequent phases.
NTRUHS has also clarified that merely exercising a higher-priority web option does not automatically guarantee admission into an MBBS course.
Important Rule for Upgradation
Candidates who are upgraded during Phase 2 will not be able to claim their Phase 1 joined seat.
The seat reported in Phase 1 will be cancelled automatically when a candidate is upgraded according to the submitted web options. Therefore, candidates have been advised to enter options only for colleges where they are genuinely willing to join.
On upgradation, the Phase 1 seat will be added to the seat matrix as a virtual vacancy and will be allotted simultaneously during the Phase 2 counselling process.
Minority Medical College Seats
The notification states that Competent Authority Quota seats in Minority Medical Colleges will be allotted to Muslim Minority candidates only.
However, Muslim Minority candidates will also be eligible for Competent Authority Quota seats in other medical colleges, subject to the applicable counselling provisions.
University Fee for Allotted Candidates
The University Fee is ₹12,600. Selected candidates are required to pay the University Fee through the online payment gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking for downloading the allotment order.
Candidates who already downloaded their Phase 1 allotment order and paid the University Fee do not have to pay the fee again unless their college or seat category changes. However, they must download the fresh allotment order if applicable.
Tuition Fee
NTRUHS has stated that the interim fee structure fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh will apply for the academic year 2026-27 until the applicable fee structure is notified in the regulations.
For candidates allotted Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati, tuition fee and other details are to be obtained from the SVIMS website, as the college is not under the control of NTRUHS.
Vacant Seats to Be Displayed
The university will display details of seats remaining vacant after Phase 1, including seats that become vacant due to non-joining or free exit.
If any additional seats are permitted before Phase 2 counselling, those seats will also be added and filled during the counselling process.
Instructions for Candidates
Candidates should keep the following points in mind while exercising web options:
- Web options can be entered only through the official NTRUHS counselling portal.
- Candidates should arrange colleges strictly according to their preference.
- There is no limit on the number of options.
- Web options, once submitted, are treated as final.
- No request for changing the options or their order will be entertained after submission.
- Candidates should not share their login ID, password, mobile number or email OTP with anyone.
- Candidates are responsible for the misuse of their login credentials.
- Options should be exercised before the notified deadline.
- Candidates should regularly check the university website for updates and counselling notifications.
Admission and Certificate Verification
Candidates who receive an allotment must download the provisional allotment order, pay the applicable University Fee and report to the allotted college with their original certificates within the prescribed time.
The university has stated that verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college at the time of admission. If any discrepancy or fraud is found, the provisional allotment can be cancelled according to university regulations.
