Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada has released a revised schedule for uploading documents and registering for NRI Category seats under the MBBS and BDS Management Quota counselling for the academic year 2026-27.
The revised notification was issued on September 15, 2026, in continuation of the earlier NRI Category notification and corrigendum dated September 13, 2026. The university has revised the deadlines for candidates who have already registered as well as those who wish to register afresh for NRI Category seats.
The latest NTRUHS admission notifications page also lists the “MBBS-MQ-2026-27-Revised Schedule for uploading the documents for NRI Category Seats” dated September 15, 2026.

Already Registered Candidates Can Upload NRI Documents
Candidates who have already registered and are included in the Provisional Final Merit Position displayed on September 1, 2026, but now wish to opt for NRI Category/NRI-related seats in MBBS/BDS courses, can upload the required NRI documents through their candidate login.
The revised deadline for uploading the documents is 2:00 PM on September 17, 2026. Importantly, such candidates can upload the documents without paying an additional registration fee.
Fresh Registration Open for Candidates Seeking NRI Seats
Candidates who did not register earlier but now wish to apply for NRI Category seats can register in response to the revised notification.
Such candidates must:
- Complete the online application form.
- Upload the required scanned original documents.
- Submit the documents relevant to the NRI declaration.
- Pay the prescribed registration fee of ₹11,000.
The deadline for completing this process is 2:00 PM on September 17, 2026.
Important Restriction for Fresh NRI Applicants
NTRUHS has clarified that candidates registering under this revised provision will be eligible only for opting for NRI Category seats in the colleges mentioned in the notification. They will not be eligible to opt for Category-B seats.
Late Fee Facility Also Available
Candidates who register or complete the NRI documentation process during the late-fee window can do so by paying a total fee of ₹31,000.
The late-fee window will be available: September 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to September 18, 2026, up to 3:00 PM. The ₹31,000 amount comprises the prescribed ₹11,000 registration fee along with the applicable ₹20,000 late fee, as specified in the notification.
Which Seats Are Covered Under the NRI Category?
The revised notification covers NRI Category seats in the following institutions/seats:
1. Government Medical Colleges
Competent Authority Self-Financing NRI Category seats in new Government Medical Colleges permitted from the academic year 2023-24 onwards.
2. Private Medical and Dental Colleges
Management Quota Category B1, B2 and C (NRI) seats in private unaided non-minority and minority medical colleges and dental colleges affiliated with NTRUHS.
3. Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women
NRI Category seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati, under SVIMS, are also covered.
These categories are specifically mentioned in the September 15 revised notification.
Candidates Must Upload Valid NRI Documents
Candidates applying for NRI Category seats should ensure that all required documents are uploaded through their candidate login within the prescribed deadline.
The university’s revised notification refers candidates to the previously issued notification and its terms and conditions for the applicable NRI documentation and eligibility requirements.
NTRUHS has clarified that all other terms and conditions mentioned in the notification dated September 13, 2026 remain unchanged.
