Directorate General Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh has released the Revised Seat Matrix for Round 1 of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026.
The revised seat matrix contains college-wise and category-wise seat details for the first round of counselling. The document covers MBBS seats across government medical colleges and provides the distribution of seats under different categories and sub-categories.
The release comes after the rescheduling of the first round of UP NEET UG counselling. Candidates participating in the revised Round 1 process should refer to the latest seat matrix before filling and locking their choices.
UP NEET UG 2026 Revised Round 1 Seat Matrix
The seat matrix provides the available seats under categories including:
- UR – Unreserved
- BC – Backward Class
- SC – Scheduled Caste
- ST – Scheduled Tribe
- EW – Economically Weaker Section
The matrix further provides sub-category-wise distribution such as Open (OP), Girls (GL), Persons with Disability (PH), Ex-Servicemen (EX), Freedom Fighter (FF) and other applicable classifications.
College-Wise MBBS Seat Details
The revised document includes individual seat matrices for government medical colleges. For example, several Autonomous State Medical Colleges have an MBBS intake of 85 seats, while larger institutions have higher approved intakes.

The seat figures above are taken from the college-wise totals displayed in the uploaded revised matrix. For example, the matrix shows 85 MBBS seats for Autonomous State Medical College, Amethi, while Baba Raghavdas Medical College, Gorakhpur shows 125, RML Institute of Medical Sciences shows 170, and GSVM Medical College, Kanpur shows 210.
Seat Matrix Includes Category-Wise Distribution
Candidates should not consider only the overall intake while selecting colleges. The revised matrix provides a detailed distribution of seats across the applicable reservation categories.
For example, the Autonomous State Medical College, Amethi matrix shows a total of 85 MBBS seats, distributed across UR, BC, SC, ST and EWS categories with further sub-category classifications.
Similarly, the revised matrix contains separate seat distributions for colleges such as Ayodhya, Bahraich, Basti, Bijnor, Chandauli, Deoria, Etah and Fatehpur.
