JCECEB Revises Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 and Round 3 Schedule

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has revised the schedule for the 2nd and 3rd rounds of online counselling for MBBS, BDS and BHMS admissions for the 2026-27 academic session.

The revised schedule has been issued through Notice dated September 17, 2026, following directions related to the NEET UG 2026 counselling schedule issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The notice revises the timelines for both State Quota counselling and counselling for specified All India Quota (AIQ) and NRI seats.

Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Revised Schedule – State Quota

The Round 2 schedule for vacant State Quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS has been revised as follows:

There is no change in the other Round 2 activities mentioned in the earlier schedule, according to the JCECEB notice.

The JCECEB counselling portal also confirms that Round 2 seat allotment letters and document verification/admission activities are being conducted through the candidate login and concerned institutes.

The notice specifically mentions AIQ and NRI-supported seats in the colleges covered under the relevant counselling schedule.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates who have already been admitted through the 1st or 2nd round of online counselling and wish to change their course or institute can participate in the 3rd round, subject to the applicable rules.

If a candidate’s seat is re-allotted in the 3rd round, the previously allotted seat will be cancelled. The Board will conduct upgradation of courses and institutes only up to the 3rd round.

Candidates already admitted through the counselling process may also apply for upgradation of their course or institute, depending on the availability of vacant seats and their merit.

Candidates in the State Merit List

Candidates whose names are included in the State Merit List released on September 7, 2026 do not need to submit the online application again.

Candidates Moving from State Quota to AIQ

A candidate admitted through the 2nd Round State Quota counselling who wishes to participate in the 3rd Round AIQ counselling must first surrender the State Quota seat.

Such candidates must submit their resignation to the concerned State Quota admitting institute by October 3, 2026. The notice states that the candidate’s security money will be forfeited in such a case.
