Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has published the Second Provisional Seat Allotment Result for Round 1 of UGNEET-2026 for Medical and Dental courses. The revised provisional result was published on August 27, 2026, following the re-run of the first-round allotment after candidates exercised the Choice-4 (Exit) option.
The second provisional allotment has been released separately for MBBS and BDS candidates. The medical allotment PDF runs to 617 pages, while the dental allotment PDF contains 129 pages.
Why Has KEA Released a Second Provisional Result?
The first-round provisional seat allotment was initially published on August 23, 2026. KEA had allowed candidates who wished to take admission to an MCC Round 1 allotted seat to exit from the KEA counselling process using Choice-4 (Exit) before the prescribed deadline.
Following these exits, some seats that had been provisionally allotted in Round 1 became vacant. KEA has therefore re-run the first-round allotment for Medical and Dental courses based on the options already entered by candidates. Existing choices have been considered for the re-run.
Second Provisional Allotment Published
The Second Provisional Seat Allotment Result for Round 1 has now been published for both courses:
- MBBS – 2nd Provisional Round 1 Allotment
- BDS – 2nd Provisional Round 1 Allotment
The allotment lists provide candidate-wise details including All India Rank, course code, allotted college, course, allotted category, course fee and allotment status.
The MBBS list includes allotments across government, private, NRI and other applicable seat categories. The BDS list similarly includes government and private dental seats across participating institutions.
Candidates Can Check Their Revised Allotment
Candidates who participated in Karnataka UGNEET 2026 Round 1 should carefully check the second provisional result, as their allotment may have changed following the re-run.
Candidates should verify:
- All India Rank
- Allotted college
- Course – MBBS/BDS
- Allotted category
- Course fee
- Allotment status
For example, the MBBS list includes allotments to institutions such as Bangalore Medical College, Government Medical Colleges across Karnataka and participating private medical colleges.
Objection Window Open Till 8 PM on August 27
KEA has provided a short window for candidates to raise specific objections regarding the provisional result.
Candidates may submit objections if there is an issue such as:
- Cut-off being checked incorrectly
- Options having been entered but no seat being allotted
- Other specific discrepancies in the provisional allotment
Objections must be emailed to keauthority-ka@nic.in before 8:00 PM on August 27, 2026.
No Fresh Choice Changes Allowed
KEA has clarified that seats not allotted because candidates did not enter the required options should not be the subject of objections.
Also, change of options will not be permitted at this stage. The re-run has been carried out using the choices already entered by candidates.
Final Round 1 Allotment Result to Be Declared Later
The current result is provisional. KEA will examine the objections received within the prescribed deadline and subsequently declare the final Round 1 seat allotment result.
Therefore, candidates should not treat the second provisional allotment as the final seat allotment until KEA publishes the final result.
