MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 & 2 Resignation, Float Schedule Released

As per dated September 17, 2026, MCC has reopened the Resignation/Seat Withdrawal facility for Round 1 and Round 2 Freeze/Float candidates. The facility is available from September 17 at 3:30 PM to September 18 at 6:00 PM, with forfeiture of the security deposit.

A separate dated September 18, 2026 provides the schedule for candidates who have chosen FLOAT in Round 2 and are required to complete the document uploading, verification and admission-related formalities.

MCC has stated that candidates who wish to resign from their joined Round 1 or Round 2 seats can use the resignation facility within the specified period.

Important Instructions for Resignation

  • Freeze candidates: Candidates who want to resign or withdraw from their seat must physically report to the allotted institute to complete the resignation process.
  • Float candidates who are not upgraded: Such candidates can resign from their Round 1 or Round 2 seat by logging into their MCC account and generating the Seat Withdrawal/Resignation slip.

MCC has also advised candidates to ensure that the resignation letter or seat withdrawal slip is generated online through the MCC portal. If the required slip is not generated, the resignation will be treated as “Null & Void.” Once a candidate resigns from the allotted seat, they will have no claim over the resigned seat.

MCC Round 2 FLOAT Candidates: Document Verification Schedule

Candidates who have chosen FLOAT in Round 2 of UG Counselling 2026 must follow the document uploading and verification schedule issued by MCC.

Candidates Must Upload Corrected Documents on Time

Candidates whose documents are found to have discrepancies will be given an opportunity to correct and re-upload the required documents within the specified timeline.

The MCC notice states that candidates can use the final opportunity to upload corrected documents after resolution of the discrepancy raised by the allotted institute. If a candidate fails to upload the corrected documents within the stipulated time, the allotted seat may be cancelled.

Institutes to Verify Documents

After candidates upload their documents, the allotted institutes will verify the documents at their level.

If any discrepancy is identified, the institute will raise the discrepancy within the prescribed deadline. Candidates will then be required to correct the documents and upload them again within the final correction window. Institutes must subsequently confirm or cancel the admission by 11:00 AM on September 19, 2026.

Candidates Should Check Their Admission Status

After the institute completes the verification and confirmation process, candidates have been advised to log into their MCC accounts and check their admission status.

The status can be checked after 12:30 PM on September 19, 2026. The latest MCC UG counselling page also lists the Final Result of Round 2 dated September 12, 2026 and the latest resignation-related notices for Round 1 and Round 2 candidates.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates participating in MCC NEET UG 2026 counselling should carefully follow the applicable instructions:

  • Candidates wishing to resign from a Round 1 or Round 2 seat should complete the resignation process within the specified deadline.
  • Freeze candidates seeking resignation must physically report to the allotted institute.
  • Float candidates who have not been upgraded can use their MCC account to initiate resignation.
  • Float candidates must upload the required documents before 5:00 PM on September 18.
  • Candidates should check whether any document discrepancy has been raised by their allotted institute.
  • If a discrepancy is raised, corrected documents must be uploaded by 11:30 PM on September 18.
  • Candidates should check their final admission status after 12:30 PM on September 19.
  • Candidates should retain copies of all resignation slips, uploaded documents and admission-related records.
