What Does the Round 2 Allotment List Show?
The provisional allotment document provides a comparison between candidates’ Round 1 and Round 2 status. It includes fields such as candidate rank, Round 1 allotted quota and institute, course, Round 1 remarks, Round 2 allotted quota, institute, course, allotted category, option number and Round 2 remarks.
Candidates in the list have been marked with different statuses, including “Retained,” “Upgraded,” “Fresh Allotted in 2nd Round,” “Not Allotted,” and cases where candidates did not opt for upgradation or did not fill fresh choices.
Top-Rank Candidates Retain Seats in Round 2
The allotment list begins with candidates at the top of the NEET UG merit order. For example, candidates ranked 1 to 11 had Round 1 allotments at AIIMS New Delhi and were shown as having not opted for upgradation.
Several other high-ranking candidates retained seats at premier institutions. The list includes allotments at institutions such as AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Rishikesh, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, among others.
Fresh Allotments Made in Round 2
The Round 2 result also includes candidates who received a fresh seat allotment after participating in the second round.
For instance, candidate rank 70, who had a Round 1 JIPMER Puducherry allotment marked as “Seat Surrendered,” received a fresh Round 2 allotment at Government Medical College, Chandigarh, under the Open General category.
The document also contains fresh Round 2 allotments across MBBS and BDS seats in various participating institutions. At the lower end of the list, for example, candidates with ranks around 11.9 lakh received fresh BDS/MBBS allotments in certain self-financed institutions, while several other candidates were marked as not allotted.

Such candidates are required to obtain the online-generated relieving letter and complete admission against the changed category/quota seat. They must also obtain a fresh online-generated admission letter, failing which the allotted seat may be cancelled due to non-admission.
