Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) has released the Provisional State Merit List for MBBS/BDS Admission 2026-27 after the 2nd Phase Registration.
The merit list, issued under OJEE Notification No. 0482 and dated September 10, 2026, has been prepared on the basis of candidates’ NEET UG 2026 All India Rank (AIR) and the documents uploaded during the registration process.

The list contains candidate details such as NEET application number, domicile, category, PwBD/other applicable status, NEET All India Rank, State Rank and category-wise ranks.
Candidates Can Now Fill Their Choices
OJEE has clarified that all merit-listed candidates can fill their choices for MBBS/BDS admission.
However, simply appearing in the state merit list does not guarantee allotment of an MBBS or BDS seat. Seat allotment will depend on:
- Candidate’s merit/rank
- Choices filled by the candidate
- Availability of seats
- Applicable category and reservation
- Other counselling rules
The authority has specifically stated that allotment will be based on the rank, choices filled and availability of seats as per rank/category.
Newly Registered Candidates Given Decimal Ranks
An important feature of the revised merit list is that newly registered candidates have been assigned state ranks with decimal points.
The list includes several ranks such as 26.01, 110.01, 113.01, 134.01 and other decimal-point ranks, reflecting the ranking methodology used for candidates added through the second phase of registration.
Merit List Prepared Using NEET UG 2026 AIR
OJEE stated that the provisional merit list has been prepared based on the All India Rank obtained by candidates in NEET UG 2026, along with the copies of required documents uploaded by candidates during the application process.
The authority has made it clear that the list is purely provisional. Original documents will be verified during the reporting/admission process.
Candidates Must Verify Original Documents
Candidates should note that the documents uploaded during registration will not be treated as the final verification.
At the time of reporting/admission, candidates will be required to produce their original documents for verification.
OJEE has warned that if any deviation, tampering or forged document is detected during verification, the allotment can be cancelled and the candidate’s candidature may also be cancelled.
PwBD Candidates’ Ranking Clarified
The merit list also contains a specific clarification regarding Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
According to OJEE, based on reports received from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, all eligible PwBD candidates have been assigned a PC rank, while candidates found ineligible under PwBD have been considered under the General Category.
NRI Candidates Must Submit Original Documents
OJEE has also issued an important instruction for candidates included under the NRI category.
All merit-listed NRI candidates who are allotted a seat during counselling will have to submit all original documents as prescribed in the NRI notice of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) during reporting/admission.
Highest and Lowest NEET Ranks in the Published List
The merit list starts with a candidate having NEET UG 2026 AIR 80, who has been assigned Odisha State Rank 1. The list extends to candidates with NEET AIRs above 11.94 lakh, with the last Odisha candidate shown at State Rank 6215 and NEET AIR 1,194,832. An outside-Odisha candidate is subsequently listed with State Rank 6217 and NEET AIR 858,293.
