Who Can Resign From the Round 1 Seat?
The notice applies to candidates who have joined the allotted institute for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Haryana.
This includes candidates admitted to:
- Government medical and dental institutions
- Government-aided institutions
- Private medical and dental institutions
- Specified private/minority universities
The notice specifically includes candidates admitted to institutions under SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram; Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Sadhopur, Ambala; Al-Falah University, Faridabad; and Sanskaram School of Medical Sciences, Jhajjar under Sanskaram University.
Resignation Must Be Submitted in Person
Candidates who wish to resign from their Round 1 allotted seat must submit their resignation in person at their respective allotted college.
The university has clearly stated that resignation requests submitted through email will not be considered.
Therefore, candidates intending to surrender their joined Round 1 seat should ensure that they complete the resignation process at the concerned institution before 4:00 PM on September 11, 2026.
Colleges Directed to Keep Offices Open
The admission authority has also directed all concerned college authorities to ensure that the relevant office remains open for receiving resignation requests within the stipulated deadline.
This has been instructed to avoid inconvenience or hardship to candidates who need to complete the resignation process.

The resignation notice comes as Haryana proceeds with its Round 2 MBBS/BDS counselling process. The official Haryana counselling portal has separately listed the Round 2 revised tentative vacant seat matrix dated September 10, 2026, along with the Round 2 counselling schedule.
