Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board has released the Round 2 counselling schedule for NEET UG 2026 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The schedule has been issued by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) and includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment and joining timelines.
The Round 2 counselling process will be conducted online, and candidates are required to complete the prescribed registration, fee payment and choice-filling activities within the specified deadlines. The university has also issued detailed instructions regarding FREEZE, FLOAT, seat surrender and upgradation.

Who Can Participate in Round 2?
The notification allows eligible candidates to participate in Round 2 under the specified Uttarakhand counselling rules.
Candidates can participate in the second round if they:
- Are newly registering for Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 counselling.
- Were registered earlier but did not receive a seat in Round 1.
- Were allotted a Round 1 seat and opted for FLOAT/upgradation.
- Were allotted a Round 1 seat but did not join, subject to the applicable counselling rules.
Candidates who are satisfied with their Round 1 seat and do not want any change do not need to participate in Round 2.
Fresh Choice Filling Required for Round 2
Candidates participating in Round 2 are required to exercise their choices according to the prescribed procedure.
The counselling instructions state that candidates who wish to participate in Round 2 for upgradation, un-allotted candidates and candidates who did not join must fill their choices.
Candidates are advised to carefully select colleges and courses according to their actual preference. Once choices are locked, they cannot be changed later.
Round 2 Registration and Choice Filling
The online registration, fee payment, form filling and choice-filling process will remain open from:
07 September 2026 to 09 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM
The process includes:
- Online registration

- Form filling

- Choice locking
Candidates should ensure that all required information is correctly entered before submitting and locking their choices.
Round 1 Seat Surrender Deadline
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 and want to surrender, withdraw or resign from their admitted seat without forfeiture of the security deposit must complete the prescribed process by:
09 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM
The detailed instructions also specify separate procedures for candidates who selected FREEZE or FLOAT.
FREEZE and FLOAT Rules
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 will have applicable options such as FREEZE and FLOAT.
FREEZE
A candidate selecting FREEZE accepts the allotted seat and does not wish to participate for further upgradation.
Candidates opting for FREEZE must complete the admission process and report as required.
FLOAT
Candidates selecting FLOAT indicate that they wish to retain the allotted seat while seeking upgradation in subsequent counselling rounds.
The instructions state that candidates opting for further upgradation must follow the prescribed online procedure.
Important Rule for Upgraded Candidates
If a candidate who was allotted a Round 1 seat is upgraded to a new seat in Round 2, the candidate must relinquish the Round 1 seat and join the Round 2 allotted seat.
The candidate will not retain any right over the earlier Round 1 seat after being upgraded.
The counselling authority has also clarified that candidates should carefully consider their choices because the allotment will be made according to the applicable counselling rules and the choices submitted by candidates.
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result on September 11
After completion of choice filling and data processing, the Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on 11 September 2026.
Candidates should check the official counselling portal for their allotment status and follow the instructions issued along with the result.
Last Date to Join: September 18
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to complete the admission and joining process at the allotted college by 18 September 2026
