West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the revised tentative schedule for Round 2 of NEET UG 2026 counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats in West Bengal.
The revised schedule, dated September 3, 2026, outlines the complete timeline for Round 2, including fresh registration, fee payment, document verification, seat surrender, publication of the verified candidate list and seat matrix, choice filling, seat allotment and admission. Registration for Round 2 Begins September 7
Eligible candidates who wish to participate in West Bengal NEET UG Round 2 counselling can register online from September 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
The registration window will remain open until 6:00 PM on September 9, 2026, as per server time.
Candidates should complete the registration process within the specified period and ensure that the information entered in the application is accurate.
Fee Payment Deadline: September 9
The online fee payment facility will also begin at 1:00 PM on September 7 and will remain available until midnight on September 9, 2026.
Candidates should not wait until the last moment to complete payment because successful registration and fee payment are required before proceeding to the subsequent verification process.
Candidate Verification From September 8 to 10
After successful registration and fee payment, candidates will undergo verification at their already designated college and time slot provided by the counselling software.
The verification schedule is:

- September 9, 2026
- September 10, 2026
Verification will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as per server time.
The schedule notes that the verification process at designated colleges is not applicable to NRI candidates, who will have to follow the separate instructions issued by WBMCC.
Seat Surrender Window on September 11 and 12
Candidates who wish to surrender their previously allotted seats will be able to complete the online seat surrender at the allotted college level.
The seat surrender window will be available on:
September 11 and 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Candidates undertaking the surrender process are required to submit their original documents at the allotted college as prescribed.
Verified Candidate List and Seat Matrix on September 12
Following completion of registration and verification, WBMCC will publish the list of successfully verified candidates along with the Round 2 seat matrix.
The publication is scheduled for September 12, 2026, after 4:00 PM.
Candidates should carefully check the list and available seats before proceeding with their preferences.
Choice Filling and Locking From September 12
The online choice-filling process will begin at 6:00 PM on September 12, 2026.
Verified candidates can fill and lock their choices until 10:00 AM on September 14, 2026.
Candidates should carefully arrange their preferred colleges and courses before locking their choices. The choice-filling and locking window is relatively short, so candidates should complete the process well before the deadline.
Round 2 Seat Allotment Result on September 15
The West Bengal NEET UG Round 2 allotment result is scheduled to be published on September 15, 2026, after 6:00 PM.
Candidates who receive a seat allotment will then have to complete the reporting and admission process at their allotted institute.
Reporting and Admission From September 16 to 18
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to report to their allotted institute for admission.
The reporting and admission window is scheduled for:
September 16, 17 and 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Candidates should carry the required original documents and complete all admission formalities within the stipulated period.
The official WBMCC counselling framework covers 85% State Quota MBBS/BDS seats, along with applicable Management and NRI quota seats in private institutions.
