Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has announced the schedule for exercising web options for the first phase of counselling for MBBS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026–27. The notification is applicable to MBBS seats in Government and private unaided minority and non-minority medical colleges affiliated with KNRUHS.
Eligible candidates can exercise their web options from 6:00 AM on August 29, 2026, to 12:00 Noon on September 1, 2026 through the designated Telangana MBBS/BDS counselling portal.
Who Can Exercise Web Options?
Candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration, provisionally verified by the concerned departments, and whose names appear in the final merit list of UG Medical Admissions published by KNRUHS on August 28, 2026, are eligible to participate in the first phase of MBBS counselling.
The first phase includes eligible candidates under categories including:
- EWS
- PwD
- PMC
- CAP
- SCCL
- Other candidates included in the final merit list
The counselling will cover MBBS seats under the Competent Authority Quota in Government and private unaided minority/non-minority medical colleges affiliated with KNRUHS.

Candidates can exercise web options through the official counselling portal: tsmedadm.tsche.in.
No Limit on Number of Choices
KNRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of colleges a candidate can select while exercising web options. Candidates can choose any number of eligible medical colleges according to their preference and priority.
Candidates are advised to arrange their choices carefully based on their preferred college and course. A six-letter OTP/password will be sent to the registered mobile number when candidates exercise their web options. Candidates should also take a printout of their saved choices for future reference.
Important Rule for Candidates Who Skip Web Options
KNRUHS has issued an important instruction regarding participation in subsequent counselling phases.
Candidates included in the final merit list who do not exercise web options during the first phase will not be eligible to exercise web options in subsequent phases of counselling. This provision has been introduced to prevent unnecessary blocking of seats.
Similarly, if a candidate is allotted an MBBS seat according to the choices submitted but does not join the allotted college, the candidate will not be permitted to exercise web options in subsequent counselling phases.
University Fee of Rs.12,000
Candidates allotted an MBBS seat will have to pay a University fee of Rs.12,000 through the online payment gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking.
After successful payment, candidates will be able to download their allotment order from the counselling website. The university fee, once paid, is stated to be non-refundable.
Tuition fees will be payable separately at the respective Government Medical Colleges or private medical colleges as applicable. For private medical colleges, the tuition fee will be charged according to the applicable Government Order.
Reporting After Seat Allotment
Candidates who receive an allotment will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number and should also log in to the counselling portal to check their allotment status.
Selected candidates must report to the Principal of the allotted medical college within the date and time specified in their allotment order. They will have to submit their original certificates, relevant bonds and prescribed tuition/college fee to complete the admission process.
Failure to complete the admission process within the specified deadline will result in automatic cancellation of admission, and the candidate will not be permitted to participate in subsequent web-option phases.
Original Documents to Be Verified at College
KNRUHS has stated that the final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted medical college. If any discrepancy is found during verification, the provisional allotment may be cancelled and action may be taken as per university regulations.
Candidates should therefore ensure that all original documents and certificates submitted during the application process are valid and available at the time of admission.
Important Instructions for Web Option Entry
Candidates should:
- Log in to the official counselling portal during the web-option window.
- Carefully select colleges according to preference and eligibility.
- Enter as many choices as required; there is no limit on the number of choices.
- Save the selected options carefully.
- Complete the process before 12:00 Noon on September 1, 2026.
- Take a printout of the saved options.
- Check the allotment status after the allotment is published.
- If allotted a seat, pay the University fee and download the allotment order.
- Report to the allotted college within the prescribed deadline.
