Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an important update regarding the UGNEET 2026 second-round seat allotment for admission to medical and dental courses. As per the notification dated September 10, 2026, the second-round seat allotment has been processed based on the merit and options entered by eligible candidates.
According to the notification, the provisional second-round seat allotment results will be published on the KEA website on September 11, 2026, after 2:00 PM. Candidates participating in Karnataka UGNEET counselling will be able to check their provisional allotment status through the official KEA portal.

Choice-4 Option for Candidates With MCC Allotment
KEA has provided a Choice-4 option for candidates who have been allotted seats through both MCC and KEA counselling and wish to take admission to the seat allotted to them in the second round of MCC counselling.
Eligible candidates can exit the KEA seat allotment process by selecting Choice-4 through the link provided on the KEA website. The Choice-4 facility will be available from 3:00 PM on September 11, 2026, until 5:00 PM on September 14, 2026.
Revised Second Round Seat Allotment
KEA has clarified that the Choice-4 facility is intended to make use of UG medical seats that may become vacant when candidates who have received MCC-allotted seats exit the KEA counselling process.
After the Choice-4 window closes, KEA will re-run the second-round seat allotment for medical and dental courses based on the options already entered by candidates. Candidates will not be permitted to make changes to their existing options during this process.
The revised second-round seat allotment results will subsequently be published, with eligible candidates being considered for possible upgradation to higher-preference seats, subject to seat availability and the applicable allotment rules.
