AP NEET UG 2026 BDS Counselling Phase-I Web Options Open from September 12

Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh has invited eligible candidates to exercise web options for Phase-I of BDS admissions for the academic year 2026-27 under the Competent Authority Quota.

The notification, issued on September 11, 2026, follows the publication of the final merit list on August 29, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their preferred BDS colleges through the online counselling portal from 8:00 AM on September 12 until 10:00 AM on September 15, 2026. Seats Covered Under Phase-I BDS Counselling

The Phase-I web-based counselling covers BDS seats available in the following categories:

  • Seats available after forfeiting 15% of seats to All India Quota in Government Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS.
  • Category-A seats constituting 50% of seats in private unaided non-minority dental colleges affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS.
  • Category-A seats constituting 50% of seats in private unaided minority dental colleges affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS.

Candidates Can Exercise Web Options for Maximum Colleges

NTRUHS has advised eligible candidates to exercise web options for the maximum number of colleges in order of preference to improve their chances of getting a seat.

There is no limit on the number of web options that candidates can enter. Candidates are therefore advised to list all colleges they are willing to join in their preferred order.

For the 2026-27 counselling process, the notification specifies 16 colleges for non-minority candidates and 17 colleges for minority candidates.

Candidates should not wait until the last minute to submit their choices, as options submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Special Category Candidates Also Need to Exercise Web Options

Candidates eligible under special categories, including Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), CAP, Scouts & Guides and Sports & Games, must also exercise web options.

The university has clarified that special-category seats will be considered in the relevant phase of counselling according to the applicable eligibility and seat availability.

How to Submit AP NEET UG BDS Web Options 2026

Eligible candidates can log in to the designated NTRUHS counselling portal using their registration credentials.

Candidates should:

  1. Visit the official NTRUHS counselling portal.
  2. Log in using the required registration number and password.
  3. Complete OTP authentication using the registered mobile number/email.
  4. Select BDS colleges in the preferred order.
  5. Review the selected options carefully.
  6. Submit the web options before 10:00 AM on September 15, 2026.
  7. Take a printout of the submitted options for future reference.

The official university website provides the admissions counselling section and links to the 2026-27 admission notifications.

Options Cannot Be Changed After the Deadline

NTRUHS has advised candidates to carefully review their choices before submitting them. Once the web-option entry period closes, requests to change the order of preference or submitted college options will not be entertained as per the notification.

Candidates should therefore place colleges in their actual preferred order and include as many eligible colleges as they are willing to consider.

Seat Allotment and Further Admission

After the web-option process, seats will be allotted based on the applicable merit, candidate preferences, category, quota and seat availability.

Candidates allotted a seat will be required to download the allotment order and report to the allotted dental college with the required original certificates within the prescribed admission period.

The notification also states that candidates joining in Phase-I can remain eligible for upgradation/sliding to a better college in Phase-II and Phase-III (Mop-Up Round), subject to the applicable counselling rules.
