Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh has released the revised schedule for Round 1 of Himachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
The revised schedule has been issued following the updated counselling schedule received from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, New Delhi. Candidates participating in the first round of state counselling should follow the updated dates for merit list publication, choice filling, seat allotment and joining.

Final Merit List on August 21
The final merit list for Round 1 counselling is scheduled to be published on August 21, 2026. Candidates should check the merit list and ensure that their details are correctly reflected before proceeding with the choice-filling process.
Choice Filling and Locking
Candidates will be able to fill and lock their choices of course, college and quota from August 22 to August 25, 2026.
Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their preferences according to their desired courses and colleges and complete the choice-locking process within the specified deadline.
Seat Allocation in Two Stages
The provisional seat allocation for Round 1 will be released on August 27, 2026, followed by the final seat allocation on August 29, 2026.
Candidates allotted seats should check the allocation details and follow the instructions issued by the counselling authority for completing the admission process.
Joining from September 1
Candidates who receive seats in Round 1 will have to report and complete the joining process at their allotted college and course from September 1 to September 3, 2026.
Candidates should carry the required original documents and complete all admission formalities within the prescribed timeline.
AMRU has also advised candidates to regularly check the university website for any changes to the counselling schedule and other important updates.
