Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an important notice regarding corrections in the State Merit List prepared on the basis of NEET UG 2026 results for admission to state quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.
The notice has been issued in continuation of Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated 06 August 2026, through which the Board had invited applications for preparation of the State Merit List for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy Rounds of counselling for state quota seats.
Fresh Correction Application to Be Submitted on September 3
JCECEB has stated that it received representations from candidates requesting corrections in their category and other relevant particulars in the State Merit List.
Accordingly, candidates whose names are included in the State Merit Lists published on 14 August 2026 have been directed to submit a fresh application on September 3, 2026, clearly mentioning the required correction(s) and enclosing the relevant supporting documents.
The correction request must be sent via email to controller.jceceb@gmail.com.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The Board has clarified that only representations submitted in accordance with the provisions of Clause 7 of the earlier advertisement will be considered.
In particular, for claims involving ST/SC/BC-I (NCL)/BC-II (NCL)/I&A (for EWS) certificates, only certificates issued by an officer not below the rank of SDO-cum-… of the Jharkhand State will be accepted, as specified in the notice.
Candidates are therefore advised to carefully verify their category and other details before submitting the correction request and attach the appropriate supporting documents.
Corrections Must Be Submitted Within the Prescribed Date
JCECEB has made it clear that no request received after the stipulated date or without the required supporting documents will be entertained under any circumstances.
Therefore, eligible candidates who need corrections in their State Merit List details should ensure that their applications reach the Board on September 3, 2026.
Notice to Be Published and Uploaded
The Board has also stated that the advertisement will be published in daily newspapers and uploaded on the official JCECEB website under the “Important Notice” section.
Candidates participating in Jharkhand NEET UG counselling are advised to regularly check the Board’s official website for further updates regarding the counselling process, merit lists and seat allotment.
