Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has released the MBBS Seat Matrix for the academic year 2026–27 for admissions under the Competent Authority Quota. The seat matrix has been published ahead of the first phase of web-option entry for Telangana NEET UG 2026 counselling.
The official document provides the availability of MBBS seats across participating Government and private medical colleges and specifies the distribution of seats among various categories and special categories.
Category-Wise MBBS Seat Matrix Released
The seat matrix provides a detailed breakup of seats under categories including:
- OC (Open Category)
- SC – Groups 1, 2 and 3
- ST
- BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E
- EWS
- PWD
- CAP
- PMC
- Minority categories
The matrix also provides separate Gender-wise (G/F) seat figures wherever applicable.
Government and Private Medical Colleges Included
The seat matrix covers a large number of medical colleges participating in Telangana MBBS admissions. The document includes both Government and Private institutions.
Among the Government medical colleges listed are:

- Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar
- Government Medical College, Nalgonda
- Government Medical College, Suryapet
- Government Medical College, Karimnagar

The matrix also includes participating private institutions such as Arundathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bhaskar Medical College, Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, CMR Institute of Medical Sciences, Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Mamata Medical College, MNR Medical College & Hospital, NOVA Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and others.
Special Category Seats
Separate entries have been provided for special categories such as PWD, CAP and PMC. The document also contains separate seat matrices for EWS and Minority categories.
For example, the seat matrix provides dedicated PWD, CAP and PMC entries for several colleges, while the EWS section separately lists category-wise seats for participating institutions.
Seats for Female Candidates
KNRUHS has also published separate matrices for certain categories applicable only to female candidates.
The document includes a Non-Minority (Only for Female Candidates) section with EWS and category-wise seat distribution for institutions including Gandhi Medical College, Kakatiya Medical College, Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar, Government Medical College, Suryapet and others.
A separate Minority (Only for Female Candidates) seat matrix has also been included in the notification.
Minority Medical Colleges and Institutions
The seat matrix also identifies colleges according to their Government/Private status and minority classification.
The official document lists institutions such as Ayaan Institute of Medical Sciences, Deccan College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, and other private and minority medical colleges, along with participating Government institutions.

The release of the seat matrix is particularly important for candidates preparing to exercise their MBBS web options under the Competent Authority Quota.
